If you can post the first part of the solution, that would be helpful, as I keep going round in circles in the desert at the beginning. Any help would be much appreciated thankyou.

I've got a magazine somewhere with a breakdown of it - I'll warn you now, even with knowing how it works, I *still* couldn't work it out.

It is based around a chapter in the book of revelation though, you have to map words to letters, then apparrently each chapter gives you two letters (again, no idea how). These two letters map to numbers via the passage in the bible, and then the 'race' at the end of the booklet gives the order of the groups of the two numbers which gives you the phone number.

From what I can remember...

1. The booklet (somehow) hints at a certain chapter in the book of revelation
2. The end chapter explains how to map letters to numbers, using the chapter.
3. each poem and picture (somehow) give two letters.
4. The letters need mapping to numbers.
5. the race at the end gives the order of the numbers.

Now, the problem I've always had is this - the solution doesn't seem to require at any point the actual solution of all the adventures, so I'm sure the phrase given at the end of each solution is used somehow.

I'll try to dig up the article in question, but the above is essentially the gist of it.

Zen.

Sadly, I'm with you - I don't think it's documented anywhere, and to probably be the bearer of absolute bad news, I managed to actually ask Ian Livingstone if he could remember how to do it, and all he said was "Blimey, it's 20 years ago, I don't think I can remember!".

Very likely lost to the mists of time now

Hello list!
I'm placing this cry for help here without being sure that this is really appropriate. If it this is not the appropriate place, please accept my apologies and feel free to remove this submission. Thank you!

For my thesis I'm doing a small survey about retro computing. I would like to know what the retro computer lovers do currently and what is their motivation for using old hardware and software. The survey can be completed in under 5 minutes and I'll be very grateful for every submission I receive. Any random comments, notes and stories are also very welcome.

The survey can be found on http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~hristov/en.html

Thank you very much!

In 5th Axis you are supposed to collect the items distributed on the floors. It raises your 5th axis number. Killing enemies also raises it. On every 10% you're warped into some period of time and in different place. When you succed in reaching the end before the timer, you're granted a piece of some device. The enemies become more tough so in the end it's tricky to reach the final stage. There is a sort of easter egg. One particular floor is very hard to reach, and requires special "key" which are items in geometrycal shapes. You must use it to pass the hole on the floor beneath. If you succeed you will see some funny uppermost floors.
