******************************************* Solution for ASTERIX AND THE MAGIC CAULDRON ******************************************* Goal of the game is to get 7 pieces of the magic cauldron. This is the solution of the C64-Version of the Game, written by Martin Brunner and originally found hat http://c64.tin.at/ Special Thanks to Darksoft for Debugging the game and finding the 6th and 7th part and sending the Poke codes for replacing the object. ************* Special Notes ************* Even the original of this game is buggy!! The last piece is placed exect at the same position as the wall near the entrance door to Rome. You only can finish the game if you move the object by either typing Poke 18014,14 Poke 18015,152 before starting the game or during the game if you have a Cartridge, or if you have the possibility to access a monitor during the game you can type: f 465e 465e 0e f 465f 465f 98 If your version of Asterix isn't trained you can get infinite lives, by typing POKE 9774,205 before starting the game. If it is trained do not select that you always want to have the magic potion because you cannot surrender then. ************ The Solution ************ N=North S=South W=West E=East NS (pick up first piece) NSE (pick up second piece) WNWSEWN (pick up key) Surrender (during the next fight don't move) go out of the door, then right, in Room III you'll find the third piece go out, back to room X, wait until the door is open, go out, defeat the gladiator, pick up the fourth piece, go out of the arena, go south, pick up the fith piece go E, E, E, E after the 5th piece, take the apple and gold enter S, E, N and take the 6th piece go N, N, N, W, N and take the last piece (which is only there if you replaced it with the poke or monitor commands)
